What Can You Do with an Industrial Electrician, Industrial Electrician Option, A.A.S.?

With this degree and specialization, you can work as an industrial electrician, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in factories, plants, and industrial facilities. You will troubleshoot electrical issues, install motor controls, and support automation systems. This program prepares you to meet industry safety standards and electrical codes, enabling you to play a crucial role in keeping industrial operations running efficiently and safely.
The demand for skilled industrial electricians remains high across manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure sectors. Graduates can find employment as industrial electricians, maintenance technicians, electrical troubleshooters, or automation support technicians. The field offers competitive wages, stable employment, and opportunities for advancement as industries continue to modernize and adopt new electrical and automation technologies.

Suggested Curriculum

The industrial electrician degree program prepares students for work as electricians in industry. To meet the demands of changing technology, training encompasses electronics as well as electrician skills. Students pursuing the A.A.S. degree on a full-time schedule will be prepared for entry-level positions as industrial electricians. This training has been approved by the United States Bureau of Apprenticeship Training.
