What Can You Do with a Degree in Pre-Occupational Therapy?

You can use the degree to prepare for transfer into a bachelor鈥檚 program and complete coursework relevant to future occupational therapy study. The A.A. alone does not qualify you to work as an occupational therapist. Work with an advisor to plan courses that align with your intended transfer institution and OT program requirements.
The A.A. is generally a starting point for further education, not a credential to practice as an occupational therapist. Becoming an occupational therapist typically requires an accredited graduate-level OT degree and meeting applicable certification and licensure requirements. Occupational therapists work in settings such as hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, clinics, and community organizations.
